WORKERS GOING BACK TO THE SENATE
To Continue Opposing ChaCha despite Comelec Suspension of PI Proceedings

The Nagkaisa Labor Coalition will be holding another picket at the Senate gates tomorrow, January 30, to demonstrate workers’ continuing opposition to charter change (chacha) despite the Comelec’s suspension of all PI (people’s initiative) proceedings today.
Nagkaisa said the suspension is merely a truce and nothing but a truce under the context of an intensifying power struggle between the warring factions of the erstwhile UniTeam. But other than opposing chacha, Nagkaisa! is also pressing for the enactment of the P150 across-the-board wage hike sponsored by Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri himself.
