Panagutin lahat! Walang takipan! Walang military junta!
President Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos, Jr. was behind the P100-B insertions into
the DPWH budget for flood control projects, posted Zaldy Co in his social media
account this morning.
Hindi pwedeng balewalain ni President Marcos Jr. ang alegasyong ito. Dapat niya
itong harapin, at panagutan kung mapatunayan, kahit na may immunity pa siya sa
kasalukuyan.
But to gain credibility as a whistleblower, Zaldy Co should bring himself back
home and submit himself to the ongoing investigations. Huwag lang siyang
mag-akusa. Siya mismo ay dapat maimbestigahan.
We believe Co’s allegation hit directly into the accountability issues that
hangs over the heads of the President and his officials. But it also adds
fire into the political mix of incendiaries that are already in play amidst
reports of destabilization plots, including a military takeover.
Hindi rin kami makapapayag sa ganitong solusyon. Ayaw namin sa military junta.
Ang nais namin ay repormadong gobyerno na demokratiko at sibilyan.
This is the main reason why we continue to link up with democratic forces that
unite on the agenda of democracy, justice, accountability, and reforms – in
contrast to forces driven only by a desire to install undemocratic order.
PM members were in Ayala Makati this afternoon joining the “Walk Against
Corruption” led by the Simbahan at Komunidad Laban sa Katiwalian (SIKLAB) and
Makati-based unions.
We also participated in today’s regular localized White Friday noise barrage
and candle lighting organized by the Trillion Peso March Movement (TPMM) in
several protest areas, including those in Our Lady of the Airways Parish in
NAIA Pasay; Santa Clara de Montefalco Parish, also in Pasay; and in Sangandaan,
Caloocan. Also, in the Cathedral Shrine of the Good Shepherd, Regalado
Fairview; St. Paul the Apostle Parish, Timog Quezon City; Mary Mother of the
Church, BF Resort, Las Pinas; and National Shrine of Divine Mercy, Marilao
Bulacan.
These are in preparation for labor and TPMM November 30 bigger action against
corruption at the People Power Monument. ###
